Alubaka moves to Kisumu

KCB front row Edwin Alubaka has relocated to Kisumu City. This comes after the Kenya international front row secured full time employment in the lakeside city.

"Alubwigs" or "Alu" to most of his team mates and fans alike, joined KCB from Kisumu RFC in 2003, featuring in the KCB second team that reached the second division Eric Shirley Shield semis and Mwamba Cup final that year.

Alu leading KCB during the 2007 Impala Floodit final. KCB won the title beating Mwamba 14-13 in the final at the Impala Club

He rose rapidly through the ranks, breaking into the Kenya Cup side. He was a part of the team that finished runners up to Impala in the 2004 season. Alubaka cemented his place in the KCB first XV and would be part of the all conquering side that has claimed three consecutive Kenya Cup league titles. His impressive performances during this period also saw him called up to the Kenya 15s where he has been a prominent feature in the front row.

KCB Rugby Football Club wishes "Alu" all the best in his new assignment.
